About Helper Arts & Music Festival

Helper Arts and Music Festival has been an annual event, and the only event of its kind, in Carbon County for the last 20 years.  As the community’s premier event, the festival brings together our city, town and region for an exciting and unique art experience that has also served as a catalyst for reviving the once struggling town of Helper.  The festival is attended by thousands from Utah and the surrounding Western states, a popular destination of gathering family and friends.

The focus of the festival is primarily to expose and promote working artists by engaging them with display opportunities and art competitions in a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture, dance, and music.  For the younger generation of artists, we host an annual youth art exhibit through our Art Smart classes, coordinated through our local school systems, and hands-on education experience at our Children’s Art Yard.  The open-air art market has only quality, handmade works for sale by exhibitors that have been juried into the show.
